HOW TO CALCULATE A BILL!

If the meter readings show a usage of 37,480 gallons, the bill would be calculated as follows:

  1. 0-2,000 gallons is included with the monthly minimum...............$12.00
  2. Usage between 2000-10,000 is $3.50/1,000 (8 x 3.50).............$28.00
  3. Usage between 10,001-20,000 is $3.75/1000 (10 x 3.75).........$37.50
  4. Usage between 20,001-30,000 is $4.00/1,000 (10 x 4.00)........$40.00
  5. Usage between 30,001-40,000 is $4.50/1,000 (7.48 x 4.50).....$33.66
  6. Total bill is the sum of all the above                                          $151.16

The "Rate Change Notice" that was mailed on January 27, 2010 contained an error.  The example of the new bill for 25,000 gallons was given at $96.25 but it should have stated that the new charge would be $97.50.  The corrected notice can be download by clicking the PDF icon below.
